I've been kayaking a bit with my friend Sara. Being that we're both Moms (and work) we can't run rivers as much as we could like (time factor) so we've started going down to the kayak park. I've never been a big fan of play boating. Until now. We have so much fun! Sara is an amazing boater, so awesome to watch. Me on the other hand... I'm not totally sure my tricks are socially acceptable, but it's sure a good workout and I have so much fun getting thrown around.
Here I am doing an Ender, I think. I laughed my head off every time I did this. Pretty sure that's why my abs are sore;) Can you see the smile on my face in this picture? It was so fun. Did I mention it was fun?
I'm sure this will one day need to be a post on outsidemom.com. A post that explores why on earth I'm more motivated to push myself physically after becoming a Mom. I've been thinking about that a lot these past few months, and I have some theories.
Anyway, I'm glad Joe and the boys came to watch. As soon as Ari came down to the river he had me pull off to the side so he could tell me "that wave was dangerous" and to "be careful" (he'd just seen me get thrown and roll). Thanks Ari.
