Ari was pretty excited about the snow. I think this snowman was built by about 9:00am.

My Cute Boys
These two sure wore me out last week, it's a good thing they're so cute. Can you tell we were playing in the leaves? Oops, missed one.

Puddle Jumping at Bear Lake
You may be asking yourself why our child is in his undies. It's simple really, his parents made a rookie mistake. Never take a three year old to the lake without an extra pair of clothes. It took Ari about 2 minutes to jump in a puddle, what three year old could resist? Not mine.

Of All the Paths You Take in Life...
Make Sure a Few of Them Look Like This. And hurry, your running out of time.
Have I mentioned yet how much I love fall? Joe and I headed up Green Canyon Saturday to do some Mountain Biking. We traded off biking and child care, oh how I missed my bike...and oh how my body forgot it had biking muscles. While Joe took his turn biking (he even biked with the swine flu) Ari, Issac and I strolled up the canyon, played in the leaves, did a little hide and seek, crawled through the bear cave (culvert), climbed rocks, took pictures and tried to keep Ari from rallying Isaac through the trees. It was such a nice evening...this is how I stay sane.

6 Weeks Old Already?
I think both my children have a medical condition; they grow WAY TOO FAST. Today when I woke up I looked at Issac and said out loud "wow, he got big last night." To which Ari responded with great excitement "Isaac's bigger, he can play with me now!" Poor kid ran in to find that Isaac still looked like a baby to him.

the future lives in a cloud
Sometimes you read something that makes you stop and re-read it several times, this was one such passage.
"I have learned that if you must leave a place that you have lived in and loved and where all your yesterdays are buried deep - leave it any way except a slow way, leave it the fastest way you can. Never turn back and never believe that an hour you remember is a better hour because it is dead. Passed years seems safe ones, vanquished ones, while the future lives in a cloud, formidable from a distance. The could clears as you enter it."

Celebrating a Fine 7 Years
I have to admit, when Joe and Ari brought me flowers in bed this morning I was a little confused about what I had done to deserve such flattery...until they said "Happy Anniversary". Ooops, I must still be trying to find my brain.
To celebrate Joe came home early and after exterminating hundreds of box elder bugs from the side of our house we set out on a romantic evening for 5. We traveled to the exotic destination of Smithfield Utah where we:

3. Dined on a selection of fine foods. Salami, cheese, dried pears, ginger chews etc..

4. Enjoyed a tasty beverage reserved only for special occasions; Virgil's Root beer.

5. Were serenaded by world renown Ari Pavarotti; he sang the ballad "Bob the Builder" in D minor all the way down the trail.

To top it all off I got to celebrate with not ONE but THREE handsome fellas. How lucky am I? Here's to 7 years, 4 cities, 2 kids, 1 dog, 6 vehicles and not a single disagreement;)

Nonie's Visit
This past week my Mom (aka Nonie) was here. She hadn't been up to see Isaac yet, just after he was born she drove to Maryland to help my little sis move across the country. My sister was 8 months pregnant, has a 3 year old and her husband was in Iraq, so in reality she needed my Moms help more than I did. I was joking when I told my Mom I was going to put her to work when she finally made it out here, but I guess she took me seriously. She re-organized the kitchen and Ari's room, cooked fabulous meals, cleaned, did laundry, helped me finish my dresser, watched the kids, did the grocery shopping, kept me company, took me shopping (I think we went to Ross just about every day), and the list goes on. Not that I want my Mom to marry Joe or anything but on several occasions we mentioned what a fine idea polygamy is; it's amazing what 2 people can get done in a day despite the need to also take care of the kiddos.
I love it when my Mom comes to Logan, it's wonderful to have her all to ourselves. We miss her already.
Yes, Isaac is still alive in this photo. He was so comfortable laying like this on my Mom's arm he was in a semi comatose state.

Lovely Fall Light
We went out for a walk Sunday despite the COLD weather. I know I know, there has been an influx in photos of us in trees...I CAN'T SIT STILL. Just trying to take advantage of fall before winter. As for all the photos; there is noting better than taking photos in fall light. I love it. (PS this was last Sunday if your following this blog via Google reader, I just forgot to post this).

I'm also noticing a lot of photos with Ari freeloading rides off Joe...humm...

Ari's B-Day PARTY
We had Ari's b-day party a week early while we had family in town for the Blessing. Ari of course greatly enjoyed opening presents, his obvious favorite gift was "lofty" (the crane from the Bob the Builder Duplo set), all other gifts paled in comparison. I was most excited about the little backpack we got him (the camel back mini mule) but neither a backpack nor an envelope full of cash should entice him away from lofty.

Blessing the Babe
On Saturday we had Isaac's Blessing here at home. My parents were in town and Joe's parents and brother (Ben) were able to travel up from Lehi/SLC. It was great to have family here for the event. I know, Isaac has an awesome blessing outfit; can you tell clothing is not something I think a lot about;) oops.

Baby Charming
The other day Ari really wanted to hold Isaac. Isaac was being really fussy so I tried to talk Ari out of it, he insisted. I put a mad Isaac in Ari's lap, he squirmed around, looked at Ari for a minute and went to sleep. That Ari comes in pretty handy.
