My Mom put me and Travis in charge of the family photos this year. I agreed under one condition "no family photo in front of the fireplace". I had great visions of an abstract outdoor family photo. As you can see due to extenuating circumstances here we are in front of the fireplace...so we had to spice the photo up in other ways.

I absolutely think this is how all family photos should be if taken in front of fireplaces. Good job making it real and cozy.
