Spring Break '10 - Paria

After spending our first night of Spring Break 2010 with my Grandparents in Cedar City we headed for the Kanab area. The plan was to hike down Wire Pass (side canyon to Buckskin Gulch). We knew it was highly likely that Buckskin would have water but we hoped Wire Pass would be dry enough. We didn't really have to worry about that; we never made it that far. We got stopped near the Buckskin trail head by a river. It was flowing, chocolate milk style (photo below). So we sat there and threw rocks while I explained to Joe that next year we were getting a truck;)

We decided to head up Johnson Canyon to see what we could find. All we really found there was mud and snow. So, after nearly getting the van stuck in the mud we turned around and drove to where the Paria Movie set use to be. We hiked around there and played in the dirt, explored, climbed rocks, laid in the sun and enjoyed the scenery. If you were Isaac you also got in a nap (third photo down).
