Spring Break '10 - Not a Lake

Have you ever spent hours upon hours on a dusty road trying to get to a lake that you can't get too? I've done this too many times over the last few years. You would think I'd have learned my lesson by now. The lakes are low. The parts you can get to are now tamarix fields. It's not worth rallying your minivan on 4WD roads.

This "lake" excursion took us all day. Photos:
1. The destination, oh oh, we're getting close.
2. Hummm, the map says we are in the lake.
3. There is no lake here.

It was just one of those days you have to chalk up as a loss.
