We spent our first night near Hanksville Utah, in a wind storm, a big one. We woke in the morning to a nice layer of dirt all over everything in the tent, including us. We opted for a hike down in a canyon the following day to avoid the wind. Not sure what trail we were on somewhere in Glen Canyon Recreation Area on a trail that eventually leads to "Black Hole Decent", not sure what that is but it sounds cool.
